This agreement ("Agreement") outlines the commitment between Canada First Academy ("CFA"), located at 628 Milverton Blvd, and the Participant ("Participant"), represented by their Guardian ("Guardian") or an adult, as indicated during registration.
1. Program Overview
The CFA Team Program is crafted to provide participants with a comprehensive soccer development experience. The program starts on the date specified at registration and concludes at the end of the seasonal year (October 31). As a member, you'll have the opportunity to grow as a player, build teamwork, and enhance personal development.
2. Participation Expectations
a. Code of Conduct: Participants and their parents/guardians are required to follow the CFA Code of Conduct, which reflects our commitment to respect, discipline, and teamwork. The Code of Conduct can be found in the Welcome Booklet provided upon registration or on our website.
b. Commitment: To maximize the benefits of the program, participants must regularly attend practices, games, and other scheduled activities. A minimum attendance of 85% for training sessions is expected to ensure consistent development and active contribution to the team. Should a player fail to uphold this commitment, CFA reserves the right to revoke their participation in the program at any time.
3. Financial Commitments
a. Fees: By joining the program, participants commit to the annual fee of $4058.86 + HST (or prorated based on start date), payable in monthly installments of $338.24 + HST. This fee covers the full season and remains due regardless of vacations, absences, or early withdrawal.
b. Sibling Discount: A 20% discount is available for any additional siblings registered within the program.
c. Equipment: Each participant will receive a team game uniform (socks, shorts, and jersey) for the season. 4. Term and Termination
This Agreement begins upon signing and remains effective until the conclusion of the seasonal year on October 31.
5. General Provisions
a. Entire Agreement: This document, along with any attached or referenced materials, constitutes the entire agreement between CFA and the Participant.
b. Amendments: Any changes to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
6. Early Departure and Renewal
a. Early Departure: CFA provides the flexibility of monthly payments, reflecting our commitment to making elite soccer accessible. However, withdrawing from the program does not release the Participant from the financial obligation to complete the full annual payment as agreed during registration. This policy helps safeguard the academy’s ability to plan for the season’s budget and resource allocation. If withdrawal is necessary, participants must submit a deregistration form, subject to approval by CFA and the team coach. All financial commitments must be met before deregistration is finalized.
b. Automatic Renewal: This Agreement will automatically renew for subsequent seasons unless written notice of non-renewal is provided 30 days before the end of the current term. By renewing, participants agree to all terms and financial commitments for the following season.
7. Team Communication and Management
a. TeamLinkt: Our primary team management app for all team-related communications.
b. WhatsApp: Most teams utilize a WhatsApp group chat for organizing non-training events, arranging carpools, and facilitating conversations among parents.
c. Team Space: (Password: CFATEAMSPACE) Accessible via our website, this section provides resources on fitness, self-directed technical training, important dates, and member benefits. It is crucial for all players to make use of this tool.
8. Photo Identification
Please provide an electronic photo and a copy of a government-issued photo ID. Both must be clear and of sufficient quality for our records.
