The focus is on developing fundamental soccer skills like passing, dribbling, shooting and ball control. Development will occur using both skills training, fun games - like tag - and small sided games. This program occurs once or twice per week and is open to all children aged 5-12 years old. In addition to training, the players are encouraged to participate in the weekly CFA internal small sided games where they will get the opportunity to apply new skills in a small sided game environment with their peers.
Players showing advanced skill levels will be given an opportunity to try out for the CFA Team Program and can be upgraded any time.

The FUNdamentals program focuses on learning to play rather than the house league interpretation of no training-just playing approach. With FUNdamentals the kids are placed in a fun and relaxed learning environment where everybody plays and no one sits out. Small training group sizes ensure individual development and the training groups are divided by skill and maturity level rather than age. FUNdamentals has experienced and certified coaching staff that work to help your child’s technical and personal development.
The CFA FUNdamentals program combines one training session and 1 game session to allow proper skill development and application in fun small sided games with high amounts of ball touches in both sessions. The prices below include 2 sessions (training + games) per week - 1 hour each.

Small Sided Games
The game is played in a small sided format, allowing the players to perform without stress or performance pressure. It reintroduces a lost element into our soccer program, the unorganized and small sided pure game played without coaching and referees.
The smallest unit incorporating all elements of the "big" game is the 4 person team. It offers defense and offense play, space distribution, triangle play and requires individual creativity as well as team play.
