End of June we spent a week in the Munich area in Germany training with 3 top clubs to assess our skill level in comparison with top level German players. Kristjan Fortier (U9) and Gianluca Scurti (U10) had the pleasure to be able to train with the U10 teams of 1. League newcomer FC Ingolstadt and 2. League 1860 Munich, both being considered top addresses for development of young players. Both left a lasting impression and enjoyed the trainings a lot. Samuel Nnoruka (U16) participated in the training week of the 1860 Munich squad and could demonstrate his great skills. Alhasan Shanti U20 had to take the challenge to train with the men's team of FC Ismaning a top 6th league team packed with young players of the surrounding Bundesliga club academies. Considering the high level of skills and physical fitness demonstrated Alhasan was able to keep up. The older the players got the level of passing accuracy and playing skill increased strongly. We got the impression if our older players were given the opportunity to train on this level for a longer period they should be able to keep up. The younger players will need to work on less touch play and less dribbling but are able to fit in very well. Here are some impressions...
